Delora J. Phillips, 69, of Jonestown, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Manor Care in Lebanon. She was the wife of Philip J. Phillips. On March 16th, 2019 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Born in Calhoun, WV on September 2, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Abe Metz and Ruby Dee Cain Metz. For many years Delora devoted herself to caring for foster children, among many were Jennifer, Amanda, Jaime, Christie, Edward, Mike & George. Her home was always open to kids. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being outdoors and especially spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Timothy J. and his wife Kathy Phillips of N. Lebanon Twp.; daughter Delilah L. wife of Anthony Dietz of N. Lebanon Twp.; sisters Hazel Tingler of WV and Janet Zaretzka of Lancaster, CA; grandchildren Skyler, Tyler, Brandon and Krista. She had three great grandchildren Jadalyn, Cashton and Ryleigh. She was preceded in death by her brother Abe Graham. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
