David J Roland March 15, 1959 – January 23, 2020 David J. Roland, 60, of Lakewood, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI. He was born on March 15, 1959, to Don and Mary (Butman) Roland in Carthage, IL. He graduated from Marinette Catholic Central in 1978 and obtained his BBA in Accounting and Management from UW Eau Claire. He moved to Dallas and worked for Sedco Forex/Schlumberger Oil where he met his wife Michelle. David held various positions including several overseas. David married his wife Michelle Williams on August 22, 1987 in Mesquite, TX. In 1996, they returned to Marinette where David held positions at Marinette Marine, Ansul, and Hurd Windows. Over the last ten years, he served as Chief Financial Officer for Diversified Woodcrafts in Suring, WI. David enjoyed many sports as well as Green Bay Packer games, where he enjoyed tailgating with friends and family. He also spent time hunting, traveling, living and boating on Maiden Lake, but he most enjoyed spending time with friends and family. David is survived by his wife of 32 years, Michelle Roland; son, Aaron Roland of Middleton, WI; two daughters, Alexandra (Dalton) Munk of Shawnee, KS and Abigail Roland of Green Bay, WI; mother, Mary Roland of Crivitz, WI; and three brothers: Mike Roland of Gilbert, AZ, Mark (Denise) Roland of Appleton, WI, and Dan (Carrie) Roland of Mt. Pleasant, WI. He was just recently preceded in death by his father, Don. Visitation will be held at Thielen Funeral Home on Friday, January 31st from 4-7pm. with a vigil service at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph Church on Carney Blvd on Saturday, February 1st at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the American Heart Association and/or American Cancer Society.
