Obituary for Dale E. Aunspach Dale E. Aunspach, passed away Sun., Jan. 26, 2020. Dale was raised in Newton, Iowa by hardworking blue collar parents. The Great Depression was an influence in his early years. He left home at 17 to join the merchant marines. He traveled the world in this service. Dale returned to Iowa and earned a GED in 1946. He then gained admission to Iowa State University. He got good enough grades to transfer to the University of Iowa where he excelled in the engineering program. He built an exemplary career in his chosen field. He lived and worked in Marshalltown, IA, Ft Wayne, Indiana, Lindau, Germany and St. Louis to name a few. Aunspach Controls became the passion of his working life. Dale was a loving son, brother and uncle. He traveled to Minnesota to visit his sister and family often. He and his special friend Bonnie traveled extensively. Dale made many friends in his lifetime. He was an interesting and interested man. He could fit in anywhere and with anyone. His relationship with God was paramount in his life. He felt the love of God and was looking forward to joining Him in heaven. He was preceded in death by his Father Ervin, his Mother Bessie and sister Jean. Rest In Peace friend. Memorial Service Sat., Feb. 1, 10:00 am at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
