CHARLIE GREEN, 73 years of age of Hurley, VA, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at his home following an extended illness. Born Hackneys Creek, KY, he was the son of the late Byrd and Genivia (Stiltner) Green. He was a longtime resident of Buchanan County was of the Christian faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a disabled Coal Miner. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids. In addition to his… parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorlis June McClanahan Green (2011); Son-in-Law: Jerry Willis Blankenship Jr.; Brother: Sebastian Green; Son: Eddie Dewayne Green. Those left to cherish his memory include 4-Children: Terry McClanahan of Paw Paw, VA, Genivia (Gary) Stacy of Hurley, VA, Charles (Ashley “Dinky” Collins) Green Jr. of Hurley, VA, Patricia (Terry McCoy) Blankenship of Guesses Fork, VA; Grandchildren: Jasmine Stacy, Tiffany (Ryan) Sargent, Kayla McClanahan, Chassity Green, Emily (Aaron Allen) McClanahan, Dewayne and Beulah Blankenship; Great-Grandchildren: Cooper Stacy and Sierra Stacy; 1-Sister: Victory (Will) Campbell of Ohio; Special Nephew: Darren Campbell of Ohio. Also, survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for CHARLIE GREEN will be conducted Friday, January 10, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Bethany Bible Church with Pastor Roger Keene officiating with burial to follow in the Green Family Cemetery on Puncheon Camp, Hurley, VA. Friends may call at the Bethany Bible Church Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M. Active Pallbearers will be Chris “Eagle Beak” Dotson, Darrell Kendrick, Chad Billiter, Doug and Mark Helton, Dewayne Blankenship, Ryan Sargent, Freddie Helton, Kenny St. Clair, Terry McCoy, Carter St. Clair and Kenny Ray McClanahan.
