Mr. Charles Toney, 84, of Shelby, died Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Adventhealth Hendersonville. He was the son of the late James Roy Toney and Effie Campbell Toney. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Toney. He was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his brother, Don Toney and wife Sarah of Rutherfordton; and his nephew, Bruce Toney. No services will be held. Washburn & Dorsey Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
