Catherine Corso May 28, 1924 – January 24, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook WATERBURY, CT Catherine Corso “Beloved mother, grandmother, gr. grandmother & gr. gr. grandmother” Mrs. Catherine (Kopach) Corso, 95, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Victor R. Corso who passed away in 2004. Catherine was born in Waterbury on May 28, 1924, daughter of the late Charles and Amelia Kopach. She was a graduate of Wilby High School Class of 1942. Catherine worked for the Bradley’s Department Store in Waterbury for over 25 years until her retirement. She enjoyed her trips to the casino, but loved spending time with her family, and the special times with her niece, Barbara. In recent years Catherine happily made her home at Ginny’s house on the lake, where she enjoyed taking her laps around the deck and socializing with the neighbors. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church. Catherine leaves her children, Patricia Del Buono of Terryville, and John Corso and his wife, Teresa, of Waterbury, her grandsons, Gary Del Buono and his wife, Victoria, and Ricky Del Buono all of Waterbury, 6 gr. grandchildren and 4 gr. gr. grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Kopach, Jean Miller, Josephine Kostecki and Sophie Gerace. Arrangements: A funeral service will be held Monday, January 27, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Monday, from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service at the funeral home.
