Carolyn Freeland Richardson, 69, of Rock Hill, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Upstate Community Hospice House in Landrum, SC. She was born September 19, 1950 in Moncks Corner, SC, daughter of the late Manning Corey and Mary Josephene Clarke Freeland. Carolyn was a homemaker and a very skilled cook and artist and enjoyed sewing. An avid animal lover, she was preceded in death by her beloved dog, Morgan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, but her favorite role was as a grandmother. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Joseph T. Richardson “Joe”; daughters, Laura A. Maier (Eric) of Charlotte, NC, Aimee R. Richardson (Mark) of Springfield, MA and Sarah Dublin (Steve) of Walpole, NH; son, Patrick J. Richardson of Rock Hill; grandson, Robert Joseph “RJ” Maier; sister, Connie Rimmer of Simpsonville, SC; brothers, Francis Freeland (Sheela) of Greer, SC and Hugh Freeland (Alison) of Westport, CT; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill.
