Obituary McAllen – Blanca Amelia Sauceda, 74, entered eternal rest Monday, January 13, 2020 surrounded by her family at the Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Blanca was born Thursday, March 1, 1945 in Boling, Texas to Jose and Altagracia Zavala. She was a long time resident of McAllen. Blanca was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She would take care of others before herself. She was a strong believer in the Lord with all her heart, mind, and soul. She enjoyed family gatherings, gardening and going to church. Blanca truly lived life to its fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters: Maria Mendiola and Amalia Hernandez. Left to cherish her memory is her husband: Mr. Teodoso Sauceda; her children: Omar Sauceda, Amelia Mireles, and Diana Aguilar; eight grandchildren: Ashley, Alina, Alexandra, Bryana, Eddie, Damian, Kayla, and Kamilla; siblings: Jose Zavala, Juan Zavala, Alicia Martinez, and Yadira Salinas. A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission at 2:00 pm.
