Billy “Buddy” Dean Warren, 83, of Andrews passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Odessa. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at a graveside service at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 25, 2020 in the Andrews North Cemetery with Nephew Steven Wolfe, officiating. Buddy was born on January 4, 1937 in Derby, Virginia to Glenn Warren and Willow Dean White Warren. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and the National Guard. He had lived in Virginia, Alabama, and moved to Texas in 1963, where he married Sherry Hale in 1966 in Andrews. He had worked in the oil and gas industry in the Permian Basin for many years. He loved to go to the city lake and feed the ducks, fish, play poker, and watch the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of the Church of Christ, and he was preceded in death by his wife in 2004, his parents, 3 siblings, Preston and Ray Warren and Sue Sullens. Buddy is survived by his 5 siblings, Walter Warren of Winfield, Alabama, Ricky Warren of Lampasas, Melba Stokes of Odessa, Pat Tadlock and husband, Don, of Abilene, and Marshia Perez of Andrews, and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
