Barry’s Obituary Let Us Pause To Honor the Memory of Mr. Barry Lee Flint Mr. Barry Lee Flint, age 60, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on September 1, 1959 in Carrollton, Kentucky. He was the loving son of Bobby Lee and Shirley Ann Ginn Flint. He resided most of his life in Madison and was a 1978 graduate of Madison Consolidated High School where he was a star varsity baseball player. On February 6, 1982 he was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Nancy Elizabeth Hoffman at the Trimble County Courthouse. This happy union of nearly 38 years was blessed to raise a daughter, Laura and a son, Benjamin. Barry retired as a pipe fitter with Union Local 502 in Louisville, Kentucky early due to his fight with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and later undergoing a double lung transplant. Barry was a devoted husband, loving dad and grandpa. His family was the most important part of his life and he enjoyed every minute spent with them. Barry enjoyed his grandchildren’s involvement in Pope John and Shawe Schools and attending those events. Barry enjoyed boating, watching sports and being with his grandchildren. Barry will be greatly missed by his loving family and devoted friends. Barry died on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at 8:40 p.m. at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky with his loving wife and son at his side. A LOVING FAMILY Barry will be missed by his loving wife of nearly 38 years, Nancy Elizabeth Hoffman Flint of Madison, Indiana; ; his loving son, Benjamin Flint and his fiancĂ©e, Jessica Kuntz of Madison, Indiana; his loving daughter, Laura Flint Vladimirovs and her husband, Justin Rangel of Los Angeles, California; his adoring grandchildren, Nadia and Aidan Rangel; Jenna, Ava, Hannah, and Mia Flint; Justice Kuntz and Jaylen Beatty; his father, Bobby Lee Flint of Ocala, Florida; his mother, Shirley Ann Ginn Anderson of Hanover, Indiana; his mother in law, Louise Butler Hoffman of Milton, Kentucky; his brother, Rich Flint and his wife, Stephanie of Ocala, Florida; his sister, Beth Rashleigh and her husband, Mark of Evergreen, Colorado; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father in law, Maurice O. Hoffman, died October 4, 2012, his paternal grandparents, Floyd Firth Flint, died November 17, 2010; Ruth Lorena Rutherford Flint, died August 11, 2018; Wauneta Adams Flint, died October 12, 1949, his maternal grandparents, Hubert C. Ginn, died December 4, 1989; Anna Maude Murphy Ginn, died May 11, 2002. BARRY’S WISHES Barry wanted to be cremated with a private family celebration of life ceremony at a later date to be announced.
