Barbara McLaughlin, formerly of Floral Park, New York, recently of Chino Valley, Arizona, passed away on January 18, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Biggers Funeral Chapel. Born in Jamaica, Queens, New York to Dorothea Mae and James Dean Jackson, brother, James and sister, Elizabeth . Barbara graduated from Salpointe High School, Tucson, Arizona, and worked at Singer Sewing before marrying and moving to New York. While raising children, she attended Adelphi University, then worked as a medical assistant and billing coordinator. A devoted caretaker for her disabled husband, Barbara was also a passionate gardener and baker, played the guitar and sang for family and in the church choir at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott, Arizona and St. Catherine in Chino Valley, Arizona. She was a die-hard Arizona Cardinal fan, a quick study and adopter of modern technology, a loving and loyal grandmother and dog parent. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Devoted and beloved wife of Thomas R. McLaughlin, Sr; loving mother of Charles (Teresa), Deirdre (Wayne), Barbara (Jack) and Thomas; beloved grandmother of Thomas, James, Katharine, Christina, Allora, Siobhan, Declan, and Torin. hide
