Robert W. Whitehead Springhill, LA Funeral services for Mr. Robert W. Whitehead, age 58, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2019, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Springhill, LA, with Dr. Randy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Grove Cemetery, Taylor, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2019, 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home. Mr. Whitehead, Springhill’s favorite parts boy, was born on August 2, 1961 to William D. and Dorothy Raye Nations Whitehead in Magnolia, AR and passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019 in Springhill, LA. He worked as a machinist, and was a lifelong caregiver for his mother and aunt Doris. He enjoyed spending time researching genealogy and visiting with family and friends. He was a member of the Richard Taylor Camp of The Sons of Confederate Veterans in Shreveport, LA and was also a member of the Legion of Boom. He helped with cannons and firework displays at North Webster High School home football games. He is survived by his sister Debra Jean Thompson and husband, Donald of Arkadelphia, AR; niece, Donnie Michelle Abernathy and husband, Brian of Mount Ida, AR; two nephews, Cody Thompson of Arkadelphia, AR, and Chad Thompson and wife Felicia of Arkadelphia, AR; great niece, Ava Williams; three great nephews, Dillon Thompson, Tyler Thompson, and Blakley Thompson, as well as a host of cousins and friends. Mr. Whitehead was preceded in death by his parents, and aunt, Doris Nations. Pallbearers will be Robert Denmon, Larry Burford, Denny McMullan, Darron Smith, Tony Todd, and Rocket Smith.
