Corolita Faye “Corky” Huddleston, age 84 of Bastrop, formerly of Milano passed away Sunday December 29, 2019 in the Silver Pines Nursing Home in Bastrop. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Pastor Garland Moffet and Pastor Chad Lagrone officiating. Burial in the Milano Cemetery in Milano. Visitation is 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2019 at the funeral home. Corky Huddleston was born November 26, 1935 in Houston, Texas to Cloyd Orval and Eva Elizabeth (Kerley) Hancock. She and Albert Dewey Huddleston were married April 17, 1953 in Houston. Corky worked as a Teachers Aide with Milano ISD 14 years and retired in 2009. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Rockdale and a lifetime member of Rockdale VFW Ladies Auxiliary. At the time of her death, she was preceded by her husband Albert Dewey in 2005; her mother, Elizabeth Naff; Father, Orval Hancock; Great grandson, Blake Harless; Brothers, Bobby, Charles and Billy Joe Hancock and sister, Maurieta Moggnet. Surviving are her children, Dennis Huddleston and wife Danna of New Braunfels, Theresa Huddleston and Terry Martin of Milano, James Huddleston and wife Sondra of Kemah and Stephen Huddleston and wife Shauna of San Marcos; Brothers, Randall Lewis Hancock of Grangerland and Nolan Hancock of Onalaska; Sisters, Jean Chernosky of Houston, Karen Holman of Bastrop, Brenda Cook of Milano and Cynthia Mode of Bastrop. 11 Grandchildren, Wade, Renee, Kelsey, Savana, Tyler, Madison, Kayla, Hailey, Brittany, Candice and Zachary; 7 great grandchildren, Brandon, Cheyene, Breanna, Ashlynn, Trevor, Jacob and Branson and 3 great-great grandchildren, Alison, Brayden and Juliette. Pallbearers are James Huddleston, Tyler Huddleston, Stephen Huddleston, Ty Harless, Wade Harrison and Terry Martin. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation or to Breast Cancer Research.
