God wrapped his arms around Paul Joseph Rodriguez, 46, of Lubbock on December 28th, 2019. Services will begin Sunday, January 5th, 2019 with a rosary recited at 7pm at Sanders Funeral Home located at 1420 Main Street. A mass in celebration of his life will be on Monday, January 6th, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin Pina officiating located at 1120 52nd Street. He was born to Paul & Linda Rodriguez on December 6th, 1973. He was their first-born son and named after his grandfather and father. He grew up playing baseball, football, then softball on his dad’s team the TruPlayaz. He finished school and worked for his father’s company, Paul’s Painting since he was about 18 years old up until 2007 when his father passed away. He continued painting and working but life was never the same for him. Joseph, as everyone knew him, loved the New England Patriots football team, drinking beer, and his family. He had 5 children that he loved and was very proud of. His sons, Joseph (Gabby) his oldest, Noah, his youngest; and daughters, Gabrielle, Sophia & Emily. They gave him 7 grandchildren; Zariah, Zaliyah, Joseph II, Amayah, Amillah, Zaidyn & Azalya. In addition, he leaves behind his beloved mother Linda, brother Michael (Sandra), niece/goddaughter Jordyn, maternal grandmother Pauline Valdez, and a host of other family members that loved him dearly.
