Wanda Jean Beach Jones June 19, 1946 – November 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Wanda Jean Beach Jones, 73, Finchville, died Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Norton’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital. A native of Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Ruth Thomas Beach and the late Raymond Lee “Goat” Beach, Sr. She was a graduate and salutatorian of the Lincoln Institute, Class of 1964. She retired following over 40 years of service with MSC Industrial Supply Company, where she was a package handler and worked into a supervisory position. She was an avid U. of L. fan. In her leisure time, she enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved to watch them in all their many activities. She also enjoyed playing cornhole, Uno, working crossword puzzles and the daily Jumble in the Courier-Journal and watching The Young and the Restless. She was a devoted member and staunch supporter of Centennial Baptist Church, where she served as an usher and sang in the choir. In addition to her father, her beloved husband of 56 years, Richard Carl “R.C.” Jones, Sr., one sister, Dorothea Perry and two brothers, Al Newton Beach and Cal Stanley “Stan” Beach, preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Richard C. Jones, Jr. (Tonja) of Shelbyville; one daughter, Jessica R. Jones (Brant) of Louisville; six siblings, Raymond Lee “Rock” Beach, Jr. (Marsha), Etta Beach (J.J. Gartin) and Laticia Evans (Dennis), all of Shelbyville, Doriscella Beach Lee (Raymond) of Chicago, IL and Willis “Caca” Beach (Paula) and Bruce Beach, both of Shelbyville; five grandchildren, Elijah Jones, Isaiah Jones, Alyssa Jones, Kameron Jones and Braeden Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, November 10 at Clay Street Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday at the church. Rev. Norris Beckley, Sr. will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow at New Mt. Zion Camp Branch Cemetery in Spencer County. Expressions of sympathy should take the form of contributions to Centennial Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1221, Shelbyville, KY 40066-1221. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morton-Beckley Funeral Directors.
