Sharon Kay Marlow, 77, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the home of her son, Bryan, where she had been staying while being cared for by family and Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties. She was born at her family home on September 30, 1942 in Traer, Iowa to Raymond “Jake” and Nellie Garmon Guinn. On July 13, 1958, she married Billy Paul Marlow in Davis County, Iowa. He passed away on April 25, 2010. Sharon worked for the Davis County Hospital, P.M. Places, Bloomfield Care Center, Rebekah Drive-in, Keith’s Foods, Aunty Granny’s and Principal. She was a 4-H leader, member of the Eagles Club and also a member of several card clubs. Sharon loved her family and spending time with all of them was the most important part of her life. She will be deeply missed by all of them. She is survived by two daughters, Dawn (Doug) Wintermote, Lisa Paddock both of Bloomfield; four sons, Bryan (Teresa) Marlow, Bret (Roberta) Marlow both of Bloomfield, Phil (Fiancé Joan) Marlow of Des Moines, Iowa, Steven (Barb) Marlow of Paxton, Nebraska; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Barbara (Alan) Shepley of Mount Vernon, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Philip Marlow Jr.; granddaughter, Hannah Paddock; and a son-in-law, Rene Paddock Jr. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with family present to greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the visitation and burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties, Look to the Stars Cancer Foundation, and the Davis County Senior Citizens Center.
