Sandra’s Obituary Sandra Kay Lubben Edeker-Lebeck, 78 of Clarksville, IA, died Wednesday, November 27th, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She was born June 28th, 1941, in Waverly, IA, to Ed H. and Ruth (Frerichs) Lubben. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, graduated from Allison High School in 1959 and was a long-time member of the Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ. On May 14th, 1960, Sandra married Dale D. Edeker. They had three children: Todd, Tricia, and Traci. Dale died in 1978. Upon marriage to Ronald D. Lebeck on September 9, 1981, Sandra gained two stepdaughters Lori and Jodi. Sandra and Ron had a wonderful 38 years of marriage. Big fans of adventure, they were known to hop into their camper to see family and friends around the country. They also loved to ride four wheelers around the farm. Sandra enjoyed her time at the Iowa State Bank serving her community, working as a volunteer at Cedar Valley Hospice, and working with children at Sunday School and Waverly Child Care. During her volunteer service at the Hospice, she received the Iowa Hospice Volunteer of the Year Award. In April 1996 she started working at the Clarksville Nursing Home in the Activities Department. Sandra was a major advocate for those that were in residence at C.N.H. She looked upon each person with great dignity, looking after their many needs. Sandra was preceded in death by her first husband Dale Dean Edeker and granddaughter Alisabeth Edeker. Sandra is survived by her three children, Todd (Jaci) Edeker of Jewell, IA, Tricia (Mark) Sanborn of Reedsburg, WI, and Traci Buchholz of Clarksville, IA; her two stepdaughters, Lori (Norbert) Boyle of Ackley, IA, and Jodi (Scott) Day of Cibolo, TX; her seven grandchildren, Katie (Drew) Hildal, Dale Edeker, Jenna (Miles) Wagler, Kara Boyle, Ashli Day, Alex Day, and John Buchholz; and her five great grandchildren, Phoebe Eckers, Benjamin Hildal, Luke Hildal, Olivia Wagler, and Adison Wagler. Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2019, at the First United Church of Christ – Pleasant Valley in Clarksville with burial in the First United Church of Christ – Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Clarksville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, before services at the First United Church of Christ – Pleasant Valley in Clarksville in Clarksville.
