Obituary Sabra Pike Somers, 85, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at her home. She was born in Alamance County to the late Walter Everett and Joy Bell Clapp Pike and was married for 65 years to Daniel Edward Somers who died on November 12, 2019. Sabra retired from AT&T and volunteered as a Pink Lady at ARMC. She was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church where she served on the bereavement committee and was previously a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church for 49 years where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She is survived by her daughter, Danelle Somers; son, Pike Somers (Pat); grandchildren, Jessica Gregory (Chad Maupin), Rev. Daniel Gregory (Allison), Dr. Chad Riggs (Joy); great grandchildren, Eleanor Maupin, Grace Gregory, Chase Riggs, Emma Riggs; sisters, Cobina Pike Fogleman, Ramona Pike Cheek (Bobby); and brother, Walter “Riley” Pike (Kathy). The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Daniel Gregory and Rev. Bob Stephenson with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
