Robert G. “Bob” Edgett, 82, of Fredon Twp. died Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Orange to the late Edward M. and Elizabeth H. (Gale) Edgett, Bob was a longtime resident of Sus County. He worked as an Electronics Technician for many years, most recently for Hitronics which is a division of St. Jude Medical. Bob was a history buff, specifically the World War II era. He loved photography, Ham radio, classical music, and eating good food. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his brother, William Goold. He is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Edgett; his children, Deborah Edgett and Robert James Edgett and wife, Karen; three step-grandchildren; his brother, Roger Goold; as well as three nephews and two nieces. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 246 Woodport Rd, Sparta, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St, Newton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675, Alzheimers & Dementia Association, 400 Morris Ave, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834, or to Lutheran Church Charities, 3020 Milwaukee Ave, Northbrook, IL 60062.
