Obituary Robert Donald Blackburn Robert Donald Blackburn 71, of Bowie, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Advanced Rehab & Nursing Center in Bowie, Texas. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm. Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Carter-Smart Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Billy Morgan officiating, interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, Oklahoma, and arrangements have been entrusted to the family care of Carter-Smart Funeral Directors. Robert was born September 17, 1948 in Lawton, Oklahoma to James C. and Elizabeth (Boissen) Blackburn, he was a graduate of Lawton High School and attended Cameron College for two years, he worked in home and commercial construction, Robert loved fishing and hunting, loved OSU football and telling stories of his youth and the trouble he and his brothers would get into. He is survived by a son; Robert Don Blackburn, daughters; Kimberly Mefford and husband Dane and Ragina Blackburn and Gary Ramsey, brothers; James Blackburn and his wiofe Betty, Doyle Blackburn and his wife Marcy, Kenny Blackburn and Jerry Blackburn and his wife Glenda. Grandchildren; Whitney Mefford and Evan Hart, Malisha Hines abd her husband Joe, Kagan Blackburn and Avery, Ryan Bandy, Brynna Mefford and Hesston Harrison, Christian Bandy and Cheyenne, Tyler Bandy, Ethan Bandy and Tristin Blackburn, great-grandbaby Tuff Lane Bandy makinf his appearance in February 2020, and two special nephews David Blackburn and Jerred Blackburn and a host of other nieces and nephews.
