Robert “Brick” Leigh, 92, of Low Moor, passed away, Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Park Vista – Camanche. Graveside Services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. The Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the Leigh family, online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com Robert Edward Leigh was born on June 20, 1927 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Edward and Inez (Whitehead) Leigh. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, serving from 1945-1946. He was honored to go on the Honor Flight in May of 2013. He married Barbara Thomsen on September 16, 1950 in Dubuque; she died September 27, 2001. Brick was a casting operator at DuPont for 38 years retiring in 1985. Brick was a member of the Low Moor United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. Brick was a very giving person and had a huge heart; he never met a stranger and will be dearly missed. Brick is survived by his daughter: Jane Leigh of Clinton; a good family friend: Michelle Simpson of Low Moor; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, a brother, and his son. Memorials can be made to the Low Moor United Methodist Church or the Clinton Humane Society.
