Phyllis Irene Donkin Pendleton, age 81, of Russellville, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Pastor Sammy Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Roger Daniels, Brandon Stickrod, Stanley Carthen, Eric Starks, Bryant Shane Anderson, Jonathan Barrett, Alan K. Stickrod, Christopher Henry and Jeremy Ryan Burges serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10am until the hour of service at 2pm. Mrs. Pendleton was born June 4, 1938 in Pipestone, MN to the late James and Catherine Tibetts Donkin. She was a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She was sweet and kind and loved everyone, especially her family, very much. In addition to her parents Mrs. Pendleton is preceded in death by her first husband, Jessie J. Elliott, her second husband, Thomas Marvin Pendleton, her children, Carrie K. Spicer and Scott Allen Elliott, her grandchildren, Burl Alan Spicer and Jeremy Wayne Anderson, and her siblings, Connie L. DeBaca and James R. Donkin, Jr. Mrs. Pendleton is survived by her son, Kenneth Ray Elliott of Springfield; daughters, Rebecca Lynn Elliott Daniels of Springfield, Lanette Diane Spicer of Russellville, Sherri Lynn Pendleton of Springfield and Melissa Ann Pendleton of Springfield; grandchildren, Lynn Renee Choate, Dusty Robert Elliott, Elizabeth A. Burgess, Connie L. Byard, Derrick Scott Spicer, Shane Bryant Anderson, Amanda R. Carthen, Deanna K. Todd and Heather L. Barrett; 28 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pendleton is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
