Funeral services for Pat Poe, age 77, of Hideaway, Texas are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the First Baptist Church Lindale with Dr. Tom Buck officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery near Quitman, Texas with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas. Pat died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 in Tyler, Texas. She was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on July 18, 1942 to the late Leonard George and Oleta (Burton) Jones and married Don Poe on November 29, 1963. She graduated with a bachelors and two master degrees in education and taught for 25 years in the elementary classroom and 10 years as an elementary school counselor before retiring in 2003. Pat was a very supportive coach’s wife for 39 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Lindale, group leader for Moms to Moms, attended weekly bible study, member of the 9 Hole Lady’s Golf Group, but most of all her favorite role was being “Gigi”. Pat is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Don Poe of Hideaway, daughter & son-in-law, Teena and Kyle Story of Prosper, Texas; son & daughter-in-law, Toby and Mandy Poe of Hideaway, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Arlie Cox of Garland, Texas; brothers, Bob and Linda Jones of Pottsboro, Texas and Rick and Kaye Jones of Celina, Texas; grandchildren, Shay Story Stephens and husband, Justin of Carrollton, Texas, Tyler Poe Story of Euless, Texas, Lukas Knox Poe of Hideaway, Texas and Casey Chad Poe of Hideaway, Texas; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ron and Betty Poe of Hideaway, Texas and sister-in-law, Jane Poe Martin of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Jon Poe, Matt Poe, Bill Poe, Terry Jones, Tim Jones and Tim Clemmons. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.
