(Compston) Marvel, age 78, of Warwick, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019, at Philip Hulitar Hospice in Providence, RI after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late William A. Marvel for 49 years. Born in Warwick on April 16, 1941 she was a daughter of the late Everett D. and Helen L. (Feeney) Compston. Mary was a lifelong resident of Warwick. Mary will be remembered by friends and family for her sense of humor and clever intellect. Her hobbies included reading, dabbling in family genealogy, and watching the Red Sox. The illness that took her body never defeated her spirit. Mary was most appreciative of the nurses and doctors at Hematology and Oncology Associates of Cranston. These medical professionals provided friendship, guidance, and humor to sustain her during her illness. Mary was loved by all who knew her and will be truly missed. Mary is survived by a daughter, Cindy and her partner Roland of Nashua, NH; two sons, Keith and his wife Carol of Wyoming, RI, Jeff of Warwick, RI; two grandchildren, John of Wyoming, RI and Michaela of Biddeford, ME. She was the loving sister of the late George Compston and the late Judith (Compston) Costa. Her funeral and burial will be private. Print Obituary
