Marie’s Obituary MARIE C. FARR Mrs. Marie Farr of Okawville, IL departed this life in the Friendship Manor Health Care Center in Nashville, IL on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:36 A.M. She had attained the age of 98 years, 9 months and 7 days. Marie was born in Bixby, IL on February 9, 1921 the daughter of Frederick and Wilhelmina (nee Stuehmeyer) Kassel. She was united in marriage to Franklin D. Farr in St. Louis, MO on March 7, 1942 and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2001. Mrs. Farr was a homemaker and had previously worked as a meat packer and was a member of the Meat Packers Local in St. Louis until retiring. Marie and her husband moved from Crystal City, MO and relocated to Okawville in 1995 to enjoy their retirement. She was of the Protestant faith. Left to mourn her passing is her son, Franklin P. Farr of Okawville; a daughter, Sandra L. Fink of O’Fallon, MO; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings. In accordance with the wishes of Marie and her family, cremation was performed. There will be no public services. Mrs. Farr will be laid to rest with her husband in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home. Read More
