Born in Villalba Sicily, Italy, Lucia immigrated to the United States in 1960, and has been a lifelong Ewing resident. She was a homemaker, and worked for numerous factories in the area, including General Electric, Kramer Refrigeration, and Trenton Textile. Lucia enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her loving family. Predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Rosina Fruscione Nalbone, her husband Angelo Mendola, her sister, Lena Volpe, and her brother, Tony Nalbone. She is survived by her sons, Angelo “Al” Mendola, and his wife Angela, and Vincent Mendola; his grandchildren, Andrew, Stephen, and Derek Mendola, and Talia and Chloe Mendola, her great granddaughter, Hallie Mendola; her brother Carlo Nalbone, and his wife Anna; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 15, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at Incarnation Church 1545 Pennington Road Ewing, NJ 08618. Entombment will be private at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton. Calling hours for family and friends will be on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel, Hamilton, NJ.
