Obituary Lenora Marie Rabel, 101, of Metamora, IL passed away at 6:45 am on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born on June 19, 1918 in Worth Township, Woodford County, IL to John T. and Frances (Theobald) Miller. She married Russell V. Rabel on February 14, 1945 in Peoria, IL. He passed away on October 1, 1991. Surviving are her brother Joseph (Mary) Miller of Metamora and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, and two sisters. Lenora was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Metamora and a previous member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Peoria. She had worked on the assembly line at Bemis Bag and also had worked at Metamora Canning Factory. Lenora enjoyed playing bingo and cards and doing word puzzles. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Vien Van Do officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at the church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Mary’s School or St. Mary’s Church, 415 West Chatham Street, Metamora, IL 61548 or Snyder Village Residents in Need Fund, 1200 East Partridge Street, Metamora, IL 61548.
