John J. Henne, Saginaw Twp., Michigan. Beloved father and grandfather passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at New Hope Valley Assisted Living. Age 86 years. Son of the late Ledgar and Lucille (McIntyre) Henne, John was born January 10, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. John married Mary Jean Westerlund on June 21, 1958. She predeceased him October 27, 2014. John was employed as a General Supervisor at General Motors. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. John enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, taking care of his dogs and especially spending time with his family. Surviving to cherish his memory are one son and two daughters, Daniel and Brenda Henne, Ann Arbor; Susan and Brian Coggin, Saginaw; Judy and Owen Meador, New Harmony, Indiana; two grandchildren, Garret and Coreen Coggin and Alexandra Henne; several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Richard Bokinskie will officiate. Honoring Mr. Henne’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
