Joanne Palmucci, 68 of Hamilton has been accepted into God’s loving embrace on Monday, November 25, 2019 at her residence. Born in Trenton, NJ on September 19, 1951, Joanne was an influential voice and spirit within Mercer County as the Board of Elections Chairwoman for the past 15 years. She also served on the Planning Board of Hamilton for 8 years. Joanne embraced every aspect of her commitment to her family, work life, and friends. A cheerful and bubbly soul that would cook amazing meals and entertain guests at her residence while hosting democratic fundraisers and events. If she wasn’t working she would be spending quality time with her grandchildren. Joanne is predeceased by her parents; Frank Vitella and Josephine (Chiacchio) Vitella, and Uncle Bill Bocchini. Left to cherish her wonderful memory is her beloved husband Russell Palmucci, loving children, Jennifer O’neill and Richard O’neill, stepdaughters; Deborah Gottlieb and her husband Ira, and Andrea McGillicuddy and her husband Russ, brothers and sister in laws; Thomas and Helene Vitella, James and Dawn Vitella and Frank and Danielle Vitella, grandchildren; Lorenzo and Sofia, uncle, Bobby V. Vitella, aunts; Loretta Bocchini and Diane Bradley, special niece, Juda Bocchini, well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and coworkers will miss her deeply. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2019, 10:30am at Our Lady of the Angels St. Joachim’s Parish, 20-56 Butler Street, Trenton NJ 08611. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Tuesday morning from 8:30am – 9:30am at Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. Funeral arrangements under the auspices of Joanne Palmucci’s cousin, David C. Chiacchio, funeral director.
