Joann “Simpson” Meade., 85 of Marrowbone, KY passed away Monday, November 25, 2019. Joann was born March 08, 1934 to the late Edgel Ramey and Minnie Ramey in Pike County, KY. Besides both her parents Joann is preceded in death by her husband Palmer Meade, one son; Connie L. Meade, one grandson; Adam L. Meade, one brother; Fonso McCown, and one sister; Grethel Bartley. She is survived by her loving son Donnie Meade and his spouse Debbie Meade, Of Marrowbone, three grandchildren; Brian W. Meade, Brett A. Meade, and Pamela A. Meade, seven great-grandchildren; Tyler Coleman, Jordan Meade, Jonathon Meade, Alexandra Meade, Deanna Meade, and Josh Anderson, one great-great-grandchild Jackson, and one brother Billy Lewis Ramey. The family will accept friends for visitation at the Thacker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 starting at 6:00PM and on Friday, November 29, 2019 at the Marrowbone Missionary Baptist Church, services starting at 7:00PM with singers and Greg Whitetree. Funeral Service for Joann will be held Saturday 12:00PM, November 30, 2019 at the Church with the Church Choir. Roger Johnson will be officiating the funeral. Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery Mausoleum, Pikeville, KY.
