Jeanette Carol Hansen, age 76 of Ocean City, MD passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 at her home. Born in Jesup, GA, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Burke Ganovski. Jeanette attended Frostburg State University and Towson State Teachers College and had worked as a payroll clerk for Shop Rite grocery chain, and later at Marshalls Department Store. After retiring in 2000, she and her husband moved to Ocean City where she enjoyed trips to the local casinos and going out for lunch. She is survived by her husband Stan Hansen and children Michael Fitch and his wife Kathryn of Wall, NJ and Janis Fitch and her husband Steven Mayhew of Belmar, NJ. She was an adored grandmother to Jordan and Ryan Fitch. Jeanette is also survived by her sisters, Phyllis Ostrom of Hartford County and Claire Connelly of Baltimore, as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 1-3 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ with a memorial service to begin at 2:30pm.
