James William Schneekloth, 51 of Kellogg, and formerly of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Hospital, from complications of a heart attack. He was born April 12, 1968 in Spring Grove, MN to Robert and Judy (Schmock) Schneekloth. He graduated in 1986 from Mabel – Canton High School. On January 6, 1990 he married Ann Gosse at Pax Christi Church in Rochester. Jim moved to Rochester in 1987, where he was owner and operator of Gone Fishing Bait & Tackle in Rochester until he retired in 2013. The Schneekloth’s lived in Rochester until last September when they moved to Kellogg. Jim enjoyed going fishing, gardening, and cooking. He was in the process of remodeling their home in Kellogg. Jim is survived by his wife, Ann Schneekloth of Kellogg; son, Jacob (Melanie) Schneekloth of Pine Island; daughter, Alyssa (Joe Tosch) Shelton of Elmira, NY; his mother, Judy Schneekloth of Decorah, IA; a brother, Ralph (Esther) Schneekloth of Mabel; and father & mother-in-law’s, Richard and Carol Gosse of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Peter, and a sister Tracy. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service at the Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.
