Obituary Geraldine “Gerry” Hoffman, 84, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 22, 2019 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN. She was born on August 24, 1935 in South Bend, Indiana to the late John F. and Verna B. (Stafanski) Durskey. Gerry retired from Edison Middle School as a lunch room attendant. She previously waitressed at Stage Coach Inn in River Park and the Villa Capri, South Bend. Gerry is survived by her husband, William J. Hoffman of South Bend; two daughters, Barbara Ann Beck of Mishawaka and Debbie Beck of Big Sandy, Texas; her son, Terry D. Beck of South Bend; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy, Shirley and Betty; and her dear friend, Donna. Her daughter, Karen Lee Brothers, and great grandson, Aiden Beck, both preceded her in death. Gerry was an avid Notre Dame sport’s fan and Chicago Cubs fan. She loved following her grandson, Tyler Beck’s baseball career. No public services will be held. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, South Bend is assisting the family with arrangements.
