Doris “Dot” Richardson Elliott, 89 formerly of Old Woodlawn Road, Greenwood, widow of Glenn Elliott, died on Monday, November 25, 2019 at NHC of Greenwood. Born in Vass, NC, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Sadie Peele Richardson. Dot retired from Park Seed and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Elliott and a grandson, Justin Elliott. Surviving are two sons, William “Bill” Elliott (Janet) of Hodges and Gary Elliott of Ware Shoals; two daughters, Vanessa Wideman (Glenn) and Connie Prince (Frankie), both of Greenwood; two sisters, Johnsie R. Douglas of Raeford, NC and Sally Thomas of Southern Pines, NC; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. Services will be held 2 pm on Wednesday at Oakbrook Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Stanley Sprouse officiating. Entombment will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends following the service. The family is at the home of her daughter, Connie Prince, 104 Pinecrest Drive. Memorials may be made to Upper Savannah Family Care Giver Program, 430 Helix Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.
