Obituary of Doris A Smith Doris A. Smith, age 75, of Oxford, NJ died peacefully Sunday, November 3, 2019 at St Luke’s Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Doris was born May 20, 1944 in Franklin, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Lester and Adeline (Sprag) Haggerty. She was married to Calvin Smith for forty six years until his passing in 2008. Doris worked in the laundry department of Warren Haven Nursing Home for over thirty years. Surviving Doris are her children and step children; daughters LuLu Vernon, Ruth Kober (Ed), step-daughters JoAnn Preen and Sue Smith; sons James and Charles Smith and stepson Raymond Smith (Karen); sister Alice Conklin; brothers James and Amzie Haggerty; fourteen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Her brothers Tony, Charles and John and sister’s Mable, Carenia and Claire predeceased her. Relatives and friends may gather with the family on Saturday November 9, 2019 from 11:00 am until the start of the service at 1:00 pm at the Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 142 West Washington Avenue, Washington, NJ 07882. Cremation will follow the service privately.
