Daryl Adell Hale, 83, of Liberal passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center. She was born November 9, 1935 at Oakley, KS, the daughter of Noah “Pete” and Inez ( Daryl Adell Hale, 83, of Liberal passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Liberal Good Samaritan Center. She was born November 9, 1935 at Oakley, KS, the daughter of Noah “Pete” and Inez (Connally) Zeigler. She married Elmer “Toby” Hale on November 18, 1955 at Liberal, KS; he preceded her in death on December 24, 2017. Daryl was a graduate of Liberal High School; class of 1953 and obtained her Bachelors Degree in Music from WSU; class of 1958. Her love for music led to a career as a Music Teacher with USD480, from which she retired from after many years. Daryl was an avid reader, enjoyed singing, being active in her church and active with the American Arthritis Foundation. She was a member of PEO, the Retired Teachers Union, Community Chorus, the United Methodist’s Women and the Friday Breakfast Club. Daryl never knew a stranger and loved visiting with her friends! The was a long-time member of the First United Methodists Church, where she was a former Choir Director. Daryl is survived by Two Sons- Michael Hale and wife Kathy of Liberal, KS, Pat Hale of Liberal, KS; One Grandson- Justin Hale and wife Kelley. Two Great Grandchildren- Kyler Hale, Allison Hale; Seven Step Great Grandchildren- Emily Polk, Helana Combs, Connor Combs, Harper Combs, Jordan Polk, Carter Polk, Madelyn Combs. She was also preceded in death by One Granddaughter – Miranda Hale; One Sister- Dorothy Brinkman and husband Jay Brinkman. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be at 10:30 am Saturday November 9, 2019 at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Keith Anglemyer officiating.
