Obituary Carolyn Turner Eaddy, 96, wife of the late Joseph McCray Gaskins Eaddy, died Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at the home of one of her daughters in the Prospect community after an illness. Born in the Hannah community, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Otley Turner and Pearl Powell Turner. She was a graduate of Hannah School and a member of Prospect Independent Methodist Church. Mrs. Eaddy was a career homemaker and loved reading, sewing and gardening. Surviving are her son, Sanford (Karen) Eaddy; three daughters, Ladene (Earl) Fennel, Erma (Claude) White and Maxine (Garry) Houser; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; her two brothers, Ray M. Turner and Norman N. (Nancy) Turner; sister-in-law, Margaret P. Johnson; Mrs. Eaddy was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Prospect Independent Methodist Church Sanctuary. Burial will follow at Gaskins Cemetery, 796 Fennell Road, Lake City. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prospect Independent Methodist Church Youth Program, 2175 Lake City Hwy. Johnsonville, SC 29555.
