Albert Anderson Slater August 10, 1943 – November 20, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Albert Anderson Slater, age 76, of Shelbina, Missouri, formerly of LaGrange, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at his home. Andy was born in Hull, Illinois, on August 10, 1943, the son of John and Elizabeth (Beltz) Slater. He graduated from West Pike High School in Hull, Illinois. Andy enjoyed woodworking, collecting books, going to flea markets and antique shows, and studying genealogy. He was a member of the Lion’s Club, Quincy Historical Society, and Antique Association. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cynthia (Martin) Slater; his children, Angel Shepherd and Marlo Slater both of La Grange, Missouri, Kari (Randy) Dare of La Belle, Missouri, and Albert Anderson Slater II (Stephanie) of Canton, Missouri; step son Gary Day of New Zealand; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Patty (Gary) Vogel, Becky Wood, Tom (Janella) Slater, Jane (Leo) Shank, Maurice Slater, Mary (Greg) Duncan, David Slater; and one sister-in-law, Sharon Slater. Andy is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John Slater. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family to help cover expenses. Print Obituary
