William Ray Shropshire, age 75, of Parrottsville, passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy battle with cancer, on October 10, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lillie Shropshire, several brothers and sisters, his father-in-law Alden Fowler and a granddaughter, Danielle Sullivan. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Darlene Shropshire; children Danny (Lora) Shropshire, and Teresa Mock; grandchildren Daniel Sullivan, A.J. Sullivan, Scarlet (Hunter) Oliver, Keegan and Kyler Shropshire; great- grandchildren Jaden, Madison, MaKenzie Sullivan, Anthony Myers, and Jaymes and Brody Oliver; one sister Birdie Sartan; mother-in-law Unavee Fowler; brothers-in law Terry (Kim) Fowler, and Ronald (Angel) Fowler; also other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Sunday, October 13, 2019 with the funeral service following at 7:00 pm in the Manes Funeral Home Chapel. Wayne Atkinson will officiate. Burial will be held at Harned’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 14, 2019. Family and friends may sign the guest register on line at: www.manesfuneralhome.com.
