William Green Dunn, Sr., 86, of Barber Street, Concord NC, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at his residence. He was born April 25, 1933, in Mecklenburg County, to the late Dock Green Dunn and the late Annie Horne Dunn. William was educated in the Mecklenburg Schools and last attended J.H. Gunn High School. He was formerly employed by Cannon Mills and retired from Galvan Industries. William was a member of Henderson Grove Presbyterian Church where he has served as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee. Services will be held at Henderson Grove Presbyterian Church, 8724 Blair Rd., Mint Hill, NC, on Saturday, November 2. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 PM, with funeral services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Whitley Dunn and great grandson, Romello Forney. Those left to cherish his memories include two daughters, Candries Dunn of Concord, Beverly Dunn of Concord; two sons, William Dunn, Jr. of the home, Harvie Dunn (Diane) of Denver CO; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Eldora Tobias, of Mathews, Vergilene Barringer of Charlotte; and a host of other relative and friends. favorite_border Donations Pledges
