Obituary William Dalton Smith 10/16/38 to 10/4/19 (80 yrs old) A Kentucky native who had live in Knoxville since June of 1975, Dalton went to Heaven on Oct 4, 2019. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and was involved in ministry to children, missions, choir, men’s ministry and serving the church. He also loved gardening, bowling, and mostly just hanging out with friends for great fellowship. He was a kind and gentle man who loved God, Norma his wife of 60 years, his family and friends. He greeted everyone with a smile, a twinkle in his eye and an encouraging word. These character traits endeared him to his nieces and nephews as well as the many children who knew him and loved him. He was Santa Claus’s representative to all children who came through the church for 15 years. He is preceded in death by parents Lucian and Lillian Smith, one brother Kenneth Smith, and nephews Dale Smith and John Glenn. He is survived by his wife Norma Smith, 9 nephews and nieces, and 18 grand nephews and nieces and 3 great grand nephews and nieces. Services will be at the Concord United Methodist Church, Knoxville, Tennessee at 2:00 PM on October 12, 2019. Visitation will follow. Click Funeral Home has assisted the church with services.
