Virginia Hope White; 93 years old, passed away October 9, 2019 at Snyder Village Health Center in Metamora, IL She passed peacefully with family ,members at her side. She was born in Chicago Heights, IL to Harvey and Viola Fontaine Greathouse on March 9, 1926. She married William Edwin White on December 15, 1945. He passed away November 4, 1998. Living in Beecher, IL most of her life, she recently moved to Peoria, IL with her son Marshall and daughter-in-law Janey. She found an adorable assisted living apartment at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL Surviving are her son Marshall (Janey), daughter Kathleen (Jim) Cartwright, grandchildren Lori (Nathan) Porch, Eric White, Bryan White, Todd (Tonnya) Senholtz, Scott (Judy) Senholtz, and several greatgrandchildren: Keaton, Brendan, Landon, and Payton Porch, Samantha, Jordan, and Brandon Senholtz. Greatgrammy was adored by them and she found great joy interacting with them. Recently she enjoyed her first soccer tournament and two swim meets, being announced in attendance and saying “They are really fast” and “I got wet!” Virginia was preceded in death by her husband William, her parents, her sister Gerry Wegrzyn, and brothers Gordon, Richard, and Robert. She will have a graveside service on Sunday, October 20, at 2:00 pm at St. Lukes Cemetery in Beecher, IL, being beside Edwin once again. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family would like to thank Hack Funeral Home in Beecher, IL for their assistance and arrangements.
