He was born January 15, 1964 in San Benito, TX to Ubence Ruben Hernandez Sr. and Apolinaria Rodriguez. Ubence was a loving husband, father, father in law, grandfather, son, brother and uncle who will be missed dearly. He enjoyed working on his lawn and garden, by trade he was a self employed contractor in the construction industry. In his leisure time he enjoyed fishing. He leaves to cherish his wonderful memory his loving and devoted wife of 34 years, Lydia (De Los Angeles) Hernandez, children, Ubence Ruben Hernandez III, Rocky Hernandez (Vanessa), Rebecca Hernandez (Jose Ledezma), Regina Hernandez and Selena Hernandez, 16 grandchildren, mother, Apolinaria Beatty, brothers, Roger Hernandez and family, Jerry Hernandez and family and David Hernandez and family, sister, Belia Vallejo and family. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday November 2, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service of the Holy Rosary to begin at 6:30 pm, Saturday evening. Chapel Service of Christian burial will be celebrated at 7:00 pm with Deacon Catarino Villanueva as celebrant. The body will be cremated following the Services. Arrangements are under the direction of Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home, 1002 East Harrison Ave., Harlingen, Texas 78550.
