Toy Ann Hicks, 83, of Columbia formerly of Moberly, died Saturday, October 26, 2019. She was born September 30, 1936 in Dyersburg, TN to Maurice and Dorothy (Hill) Taylor. Prior to retirement Toy worked as a homemaker, flight instructor, church secretary, and real estate agent. Toy married Beuran Hicks on June 17, 1953 and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2004. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a sister, Fawn Lovlace and a granddaughter, Danielle Widdison Meyer Survivors include her children, Judy Carter of Columbia and David Hicks and his wife Deborah of Trinity, Alabama, five grandchildren; Kyle Widdison, Sierra Widdison Neal, Taylor Widdison, and Luke Widdison, one great-grandchild, Lily Neal all of Tennessee, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Toy’s passion was serving others as a member of Logan Street Church of Christ in Moberly. Memorial contributions to Logan Street Church of Christ would be appreciated. Words of comfort and support may be shared at the visitation, which will be Monday October 28, 2019, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Cater Funeral Home Chapel Services honoring and celebrating Toy’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m. Committal prayers and burial will be Tuesday, October 29, 2019, 3:00 p.m. at the Miller’s Chapel Cemetery in Bonicord, TN.
