Thomas’ Obituary SUMMERFIELD – Thomas “Malcolm” Payne, 58, died Monday, October 21, 2019. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019, at Yellow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 5733 Summit Road, Purlear, N.C. Malcolm was born May 8, 1961, in El Paso, Texas. He was former owner of Thom Thom Pizza Gourmet. He was a talented artist, enjoyed cooking and loved his pets. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Effie and Dorman Payne an uncle Eric Payne. Survivors include his parents Thomas Elwin Payne and Barbara Anderson Payne, of Summerfield; brother and sister-in-law Mark Andrew Payne and Annette Carter Payne; and nephew and niece, Justin and Emily Payne.
