Stewart Ray Oliver, age 64 of Metropolis, Illinois passed away at 12:45 pm on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Baptist Health Paducah. Memorial services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the First Missionary Baptist Church, 7th and Vienna Streets, Metropolis with Rev. Orlando McReynolds officiating. Stewart was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis. Stewart’s family would like to express their appreciation to all of his friends and church family for the love and kindness shown to Stewart. Stewart is survived by his daughter, Felicia Oliver; son, Shane Oliver; granddaughter, Madyson Oliver; grandson, Evan Oliver; sister, Susan Sawyers; niece, Sheila ton; great nephew, Princeton Kimmins; great niece, Aaliyah Kimmins. Stewart was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Wilma Lou (Ellerbush) Oliver and his grandparents. Memorials may be made in Stewart’s name to First Missionary Baptist Church, 413 West 7th Street, Metropolis, Illinois 62960. Arrangements have been entrusted to Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home.
