Stella’s Obituary Stella Ruth Wittman, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by her family on Monday, October 28, 2019 at her home in Cushing. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Stillwater, OK. Brother Monty Wittman and Brother David Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Parkland Cemetery in Parkland, OK. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing. Family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma. Stella was born September 25, 1948 in Cushing to parents Elba and Pearl (McConnel) Herring. She married the love of her life Ronnie Gene Wittman on April 22, 1966; to this union three children were born, Aaron, Derek, and Benita. Growing up the family greatly enjoyed traveling and camping. Stella always had a song in her heart and on her lips. It was one of her greatest joys to sing praises to the Lord. She was so good to see about the sick and visit those who were shut in. Stella was always diligent to spend time with her family and especially enjoyed playing games with her grandchildren and being involved in their lives. Her loving, caring, and giving ways will always be remembered and cherished by those who knew her. Stella is survived by her children, Aaron Wittman and wife Teresa of Stillwater, Derek Wittman and wife Tammy of Stillwater, and Benita Ervin of Cushing; sisters, Marie Greenfield of Tryon, Loretta Smith and husband Danny of Cushing; seven grandchildren: Cynthia Sanches and husband Johnny, Amber Powell and husband Trey, Summer Wittman and David Lang, Autumn Turner and husband William, Mike Ervin, Logan Ervin, Lacy Ervin, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
