Stella (Solano) Wireman, age 92, of Pennsville, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2019. She was born on May 8, 1927; and grew up with 6 sisters and a brother on a farm in Pedricktown, NJ. In 1963 she married Robert Wireman from Philadelphia, and in 1967, she gave birth to her only child, Michael. Stella lived a very kind and gentle life, where she was always happy and available to help and support others. Stella worked as a secretary for 20 years at Chambers Works in Deepwater; then after raising her son, she worked at Carleton Middle School in Penns Grove, NJ. Stella loved spending time with family, visiting friends, and dancing with Robert. She was very active with the Queen of the Apostles Church in Pennsville, NJ, and was awarded the Altar and Rosary Society Woman of the Year award acknowledging many years of service. She loved crafts, including knitting and crocheting, she was especially well known for her baking, and always seemed to show up with an assortment of cookies and cakes to any occasion. Finally, she was a great sports fan, joyous when the Phillies won the World Series in 1980 and never missing an Eagles game. She loved, she was loved, and she will be missed, but never forgotten. Stella is predeceased by her husband Robert, brother Nicholas Solano and sisters Jennie Tierno, Rita Pietrantonio, and Angie Dalessio. She is survived by her son Michael, Daughter-in-law Joanne, Grandchildren Evan and Christopher Wireman; and sisters Christine Gibase, Gilda Mitchell, and Teresa Mills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 51 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. Visitations will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098 on Friday night, October 18, 2019 from 7 to 9 PM and on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow mass at Eglington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stella’s memory to the charity of your choice.
