Stacy Short Harris October 28, 1975 – October 19, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Stacy Leigh Short Harris Stacy Leigh Short Harris, 43, of Bluefield, VA, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born October 28, 1975 in Princeton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Linda Kay Childers Short. Stacy was a fun-loving person. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her friends. She formerly worked for Feuchtenberger and Barringer Legal Corporation in Princeton and was a member of Bluefield Church of God in Bluefield, VA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Shawn Austin Harris; maternal grandparents, Jim and Erma Childers; and paternal grandparents, Curtis and Margaret Short. Stacy is survived by her husband, Shawn Lane Harris of Bluefield, VA; daughters, Emily Nicole Harris and Camryn Grace Harris, both of the home; sister, Amy Short Burnette of Princeton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Mike Harris of Bluefield, VA; nieces, Paige Whalen and husband Jake, and Katelyn Beavers and fiancé Spencer Riesner; great-nephews, Declan, Jase, and Eli; and uncle, Nelson Short and wife Kathy of Princeton. A service to celebrate Stacy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2019, at Bluefield Church of God, 104 Highland Avenue, Bluefield, VA with Pastor Tony Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Pallbearers will be Alvin Taylor, Eric Lester, Robbie Delorso, Robert Hall, Ryan Long, and Junior Alley. Friends may visit with the family at Bluefield Church of God from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
