Sonja Gail (Inman) Hayes, 74, of Switz City, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Born January 11, 1945 in Greene County, she was the daughter of Gladys and Ruby (Boruff) Inman. She was a homemaker. In her senior year of high school, she went to State as a baton twirler. She belonged to Right to Life, enjoyed preparing dinners for church functions, And was an AVID supporter of the Republican Party. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving relatives include: her husband, Warren Hayes whom she married April 22, 1972; one daughter, Lyn Strauser of Bloomfield; one brother, Ron Inman (Sue) of Switz City; her grandchildren, Michael Martin (Kayla), Douglas Martin (Jamie), Meghan McKisson (Scott) and Mallarie Taft (Jason); ten great grandchildren and three nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Beth Martin, one brother, Gene Inman, one niece, Sherry Poe and her parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Worthington Christian Church, with Rev. Chad Babbert officiating. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery in rural Bloomfield. Public visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Worthington Christian Church.
